1. History
The Stirling engine was invented by Reverend Robert Stirling few months after being appointed minister of the Church of Scotland at the age of 25 years. He inherited from his father's interest in engineering and developed the engine because of concern that caused the frequent bursts of steam-early 1800's constructed of wrought iron, causing death or serious burns to people nearby, and in 1816 patented the hot air engine with what he called economizer heat (now called Regenerator), a device for improving thermal efficiency and engine differentiates this from other previous inventions, this engine does not explode from steam, and that their working environment was air at atmospheric pressure and therefore much safer.
