3. Place order items (place)

Allows the placement and bonding of the elements of drawing. To put an element of drawing, you can access from the Place menu or directly from the toolbar, as shown in the figure below.

3.1. Place a component (place Part)

Place order part allows access to the libraries to place a component on the drawing sheet.

When you call to place order part, we see a form as that shown in Fig. The selection of a component can be done in several ways. The first is to indicate in the text box (place part) the name of the component, such as resistor, capacitor, pnp, etc. LM741. As you enter text in the list of components, appear to us arranged matches the elements of the active library. In the second movement is performed by the text box of the relationship of helping parts of the scroll bar, the arrow keys or mouse. This method displays the shape of the component.

If the component is sought is not possible which is in another library, for which you need to select another library and repeat the steps in the search.

Place a component (place Part)

If the search for an item is unsuccessful, you can use the search order item (part search), which opens a dialog box where you indicate the name of the element, and the directory containing the libraries of the program. The action of this search is to visit all the libraries to find a match, in which case notify us. With this information, the library is added to the libraries of work and select the item.

Part Search

The libraries can be added or removed from the program by the orders (add library) and (remove library). Although it is not advisable to open more libraries than necessary, since they consume memory.

When searching for an item already knows the manufacturer, so it will go directly to look at their libraries. There are many components that over time have been standardized and are manufactured by several houses, so it can be found in the libraries of each of them. Others are so used to have acquired its own identity, regardless of the manufactured home. These are grouped in a generic and ANALOG.LIB libraries, ANALOG1.LIB, TTL.LIB, CMOS.LIB etc. Finally, general purpose components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, connectors, relays, switches etc., Are included in a general purpose library called DEVICE.LIB.
